But if your vehicle is ever stolen you do not want your home address listed with directions easily available to the person who just stole your car!

If your car is stolen, the culprits know that you are going to be busy with police, reports, and etc. for awhile after realizing that your vehicle is gone. With some of the smart features available on most vehicles, the thieves may have direct access to your garage.

As a deterrent; instead of storing your home address in your GPS, set your “home” setting to a visible location such as your work address or another public location.
